We are looking for a Mechanical operator to join our highly motivated and energetic Cut & Edge Boardshop team, based at a reputable retailer in West Rand, Gauteng. - Skill and expertise in operating woodworking machinery
- Maintenance of Machinery to ensure efficiency while conforming to quality standards
- starts the machine and feeds components into a machine that applies glue to the edges of stock, pulls edging strips from the feed chute onto the edges, and dries glue on heated plates.
- Reading and interpreting cut lists and following verbal instructions
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Cleaning the machine and workstation at the end of a shift and ensuring that the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to will indicate parts that need to be regularly oiled, greased, and sprayed.
Qualifications and SkillsEssential Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience Must be willing to work the retail hour Own Vehicle is essential to have a “can do” positive and enthusiastic attitude
