IT STAFF [Philippines]


 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Computer Preventive Maintenance

  • Research, design and deploy new solutions required by end-users

2. PC Diagnostic and Repair

  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and document end-user system issues requests
  • Resolving IT support requests from employees
  • Troubleshoot/ parts replacement
  • HDD reformat
  • Updating employees on the status of their service requests
  • Assist users over the phone, in-person, and remotely using multiple platforms
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed
  • Ensure all requests are resolved promptly and with high-quality results
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet established deadlines
  • Coordinate with HQ’s IT Department

3. Software Installation

  • Software troubleshooting
  • Update/ setup and configuration
  • Create, add and modify user accounts and services across various cloud platforms
  • Provide technical documentation for configurations and procedures
  • Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
  • Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
  • Provide technical documentation for configurations and procedures
  • Office365 support setting up devices
  • Identify, report, and respond to potential cybersecurity threats
  • Setting up advanced network firewalls and switches

4. Network Administration

  • File/Printer Sharing
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity

5. Network Maintenance Management

  • Maintain connectivity both wired and wireless
  • Maintain sharing of printers and other devices

6. Inventory/ Hardware/ Peripherals/ Software

7. PABX and Telephone Maintenance in coordination with PLDT

  • Maintain main PABX unit
  • Maintain all local lines that are connected to the PABX unit
  • Coordinate and create scope of work with various telecom contractors
  • Open and follow up with tech support from vendors such as internet providers, cloud solutions, consultants, etc.

8. Reliability Reporting

  • Inventory of Computers with specs and tagging
  • Network Infrastructure Design
  • IP Address Inventory
  • Defective Computer List

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications
  • Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
  • Multitasking skills to assist multiple employees at once
  • Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
  • Customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkers

NUMBER OF YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Have at least one year of IT Support experience

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree of any Computer Science Course/ Information Technology/ Bachelor's Degree program with a Computer-related Major
